Now here I was thinking that that the Superdome belonged, on paper, to the State of Louisiana — and in spirit, to the fans of the Saints and the people of New Orleans (especially after the role it played in sheltering refugees from Hurricane Katrina).
But I guess not. Mercedes-Benz coughed up a few million bucks for naming rights, and now it’s “their place.”
