“His political faux pax was to offend a pundit class that wants to cede the foreign policy debate to Mr. Obama without thinking seriously about the trouble for America that is building in the world.”

Whatever hack writer at the Wall Street Journal accepted thankless task of attempting to write anĀ editorial defending Mitt Romney’s atrocious recent comments (in which he falsely accused Obama of “apologizing” to the people who had just murdered a U.S. ambassador) does not know how to spell the term “faux pas” correctly.* I’m guessing all the scribes with good writing (and spelling) skills at WSJ passed on the assignment …

“Polish THAT turd? No thanks. Why not get Mikey to write that? He’s not the best speller in the world, but he’ll defend anything!”

(* WSJ has since corrected the error, but the “faux pax” spelling appeared in the original version they posted — and I’m guessing it appears in today’s print edition too.)
